Stay motivated and energized when working long hours

1) Take some “me” time.
With a busy schedule, it is hard to take time for yourself. It is important to make this a priority. You need to focus on what helps you relax. Try something new like meditating for 15-20 minutes or make an effort to call a friend or family member on your way home. Something as small as this can give you an energy boost.

2) Simplify wherever possible.
You can save a lot of time and energy by making things easier on your daily routine. By preparing in advance. Set out your work clothes and meal prep on Sundays. Make these tasks automatic so you can focus your energy on more important things.

3) Help yourself relax.
One way to cut out the stress you might experience at work is by listening to music. Be sure to choose songs that are relaxing in nature and help you feel at ease. You might find that you are more productive this way.

4) One Item To-Do List.
By acknowledging that you have limited time in a day, writing a one-item to-do list will force you to choose just one thing to get done each day. Breaking up your to-do list throughout the week will help ease the stress and allow for small victories along the way.
